FRMJC stands for Regional Federation of Youth Centres and Cultural Associations. It is active in non-formal education and works towards a social and cultural development. It is a network for initiatives that supports the work done by local authorities and the development of their local environments.

This organisation has five major missions:

–>To be an actor of the local development

–> To provide its partners with skills and capacities

–> To support the access to civic action

–>To contribute to the preservation of the social link

–>To affirm the desire for culture

These missions are carried out by the four services of FRMJC:

The “inter-organisation network”:

30 NGOs in Region Centre, 11 000 members, 300 volunteer administrators, 270 employees. This service provides educational, legal and financial help to its affiliated organisations. It manages human resources for the member organisations, defining job positions,tasks, recruiting, training and following up youth workers and directors.

The “local development service”:

this department helps rural municipalities with their local youth policy. It carries out territorial diagnosis on youth, NGO and cultural life and develops contracts with the municipalities to provide for youth workers on their territories

The “Science, technics and society Department”:

through its interactive and mobile exhibitions, this departments helps with the access to scientific and technical culture to all. It works with schools (more than 12 000 pupils per year), local municipalities and NGOs.

The “International relations and human rights Department”:

this department encourages the European citizenship and mobility of young people through various actions in the direction of young people, NGOs or local authorities. It is a founding member and manager of the regional platform of NGOs “SignAll” for European youth mobility and citizenship.
